Stack types

There are two types of stack deployment strategy:

  • Multiple stacks
These enable you to partially roll out changes to your endpoints and then evaluate them against the live deployment. This is achieved by managing the percentage of traffic routed to each stack.

  • Shadow stacks
These enable you to check the performance of a new version without affecting traffic going to the live deployment. This is achieved by mirroring the live traffic and routing it to the new version.

Each endpoint can have a maximum of two stacks and a single shadow stack.
